Many painting contractors, property owners, and building professionals were taken by surprise when Kelly-Moore Paints announced that it would be closing its stores. As employees of a company that started as a small family business just a few hundred miles south of where Kelly-Moore began, it struck a chord with all of us at Dunn-Edwards as well. We know what it's like to be a part of a paint family, with customers and professionals who rely on our products and services every day.
You've probably heard the saying, "It's just business." But it really isn't "just business" for the people whose lives and daily routines have been impacted. That's why we have mobilized teams and initiated three key programs to help.
Our human resources teams are actively recruiting former Kelly-Moore employees so that we can welcome them into our family. While we acknowledge that changing companies can be a difficult transition, it is our hope that we can help shepherd these individuals to the next phase of their career journey.

Not all color matches are created equal. Our leadership team is working quickly to open additional Dunn-Edwards stores in the same locations or nearby former Kelly-Moore stores.
By opening more stores in the areas that have been impacted by Kelly-Moore store closures, we are positioning Dunn-Edwards to be a critical resource for painting professionals in our efforts to be helpful.
More stores, dealer programs, and enhanced infrastructure are on the way.
