Specialty license plates can be ordered through the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and My Plates. Visit the TxDMV website or myplates.com for more information and to order your plates online.
You may print an application for specialty license plates from the TxDMV website and place your order through the mail. The mailing address is on the form. Other than some military plates, there will be a charge in addition to the regular registration fee. The amount charged for personalized and special plates will vary according to the type ordered.
You may receive an email once your plates are shipped. The Tax Office will also email you when your plates arrive at the Tarrant County Tax Office downtown Fort Worth location. We will arrange to collect fees by mail or through the secure drop box and mail your plates and new sticker, or send your plates to a designated branch location for payment and pickup.
