Government aid requirements for summer studies differ according to province. Consult the list below for specific criteria and refer to provincial/territorial financial aid websites to obtain online applications.
Deadline: 30 days prior to the end of the student’s specific study period (not McGill’s official end of summer term, which is August 30).
Students who previously applied for fall and winter terms OR winter term only:
Students applying for the summer term only (with no application for fall/winter) must complete an electronic summer application:
Deadline: Applications and supporting documents for all cases must be received 6 weeks prior to the end of the student’s specific study period (not McGill’s official end of summer term, which is August 30). It is the student’s responsibility to send all documents to BC Aid by the deadline.
Note: When completing the summer extension (online or paper versions) students must declare any Scholarships and/or Bursaries received even if these were already declared in the Fall/Winter application. If the student is applying for summer funding only they should not declare the Fall/Winter Scholarships and/or Bursaries unless the award was issued in the summer term.
