You may pay by credit card, debit card or an electronic check from a U.S. checking account. The application fee must be paid at the time you submit the online application and cannot be submitted separately. The application cannot be reviewed by the Office of Admissions unless the application fee has been paid or a fee waiver has been granted.
For students with confirmed financial hardship, the UW provides a waiver of the application fee.
Receiving a fee waiver will have no bearing whatsoever on the review of your application for admission, and the information you provide will not be released to anyone for any purpose.
Generally, UW Admissions waives the application fee if you are a U.S. applicant (citizen, permanent resident or refugee), with financial need. HB 1079 students: You are eligible for a fee waiver as long as you submit the U.S. freshman application.
The fee waiver request is embedded in the application. No additional forms or documents are required. If your request is not approved, you will need to pay the application fee before submitting your application.
