We strongly recommend that you do not wait until the last day to submit your application. Late applications will not be accepted. The Department is required to enforce the established deadline to ensure fairness to all applicants. The time it takes to upload the supporting documents for your application will vary depending on a number of factors including the size of the files and speed of your internet connection. If you try to submit your application after 5:00PM Eastern Time on the deadline date, the SchoolMint system will not accept it.
Using the parent dashboard, your online account will allow you to track the status of your application. Applying online gives you priority access to the lottery results. Prior to applying for a Choice program, we encourage you to attend the Open House for each Choice program to which you intend to apply. Open House dates are available on each school's website.

Create your Parent/Guardian Account with a user ID and password that is easy to remember.
A separate application must be submitted for each child applying for a Choice program.
Remember to "Submit" your application or it will not be considered in the Choice lottery. Your application status can be viewed on the parent dashboard upon login.
Duplicate applications will be withdrawn from consideration.

TRANSCRIPTS: Transcripts are required for all non-CCPS students. A full transcript is required and should include the current school year along with previous school years. If the current grade level is not available, please submit the most recent progress report with the transcript.
TWO RECOMMENDATIONS: Parents will enter two CORE content teachers' emails.
TWO PROOFS OF RESIDENCY : Two proofs of residency are required for non-CCPS students. Copies of driver's licenses and mobile cell phone bills are not accepted.
