While individual programs have unique admission requirements and application steps, our overall admissions process includes the following:

If you are hoping to be accepted to a degree program at Denver Seminary (Master of Divinity, Master of Arts, Master of Theology, Certificate, Doctor of Ministry), you will need to apply as a degree-seeking student using our general application.

If you are hoping to be accepted to the Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision program, you will need to apply as a degree-seeking student using our PhD application.

If you have attended Denver Seminary in the past and are ready to return, we’re glad to hear that! As a re-entry student, you are able to complete a shorter application process.If you are hoping to be accepted to the Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision program, you will need to apply as a degree-seeking student using our PhD application.

If you would just like to take a few classes with us for credit, you can apply as a non-degree seeking student. This is a great option for people who aren’t ready to commit to a degree but would like to get their feet wet.

Auditing students don’t receive credit for their classes but the audited courses do show up on your Denver Seminary transcript. This is a great option for people who want to take courses for personal development but don’t need to earn a grade.

Admissions Deadlines

• Spring 2025 Degree-Seeking Application Deadline: December 13, 2024
• Summer 2025 Degree-Seeking Application Deadline: April 18, 2025
• Fall 2025 Degree-Seeking Application Deadline: August 1, 2025
• International students are encouraged to start their admission application by March 15 (for fall) and August 15 (for spring). All I-20 documents should be submitted no later than July 15 (fall semester start) and November 15 (spring semester start).
• For School Counseling Certificate students, the last day to apply for Fall 2024 admission is July 19, 2024, and the last day to have your internship site approved is August 2, 2024. For Spring 2025, the last day to apply for admission is November 29, 2024, and the last day to have your internship site approved is December 15, 2024.For questions, reach out to connect@denverseminary.edu.
